THE RUTH MINE COMPLEX

Extensive above ground and underground diggings make the Ruth one of the largest mines in the Searles Valley area. The Complex consists of 11 structures including a large Mill with processing tanks, a Warehouse, Bunkhouse, Schoolhouse, General Store/Tavern, and several workers' homes. The “Friends of the Ruth Mine” maintains the buildings. The Ruth Mine is currently being considered for inclusion in the Adopt-A-Cabin / Historic Sites Program.
